The Duel Commander Committee consists of five voting members responsible for overseeing and shaping the format.
As some of you may know, Crimelune / Flavien is stepping down in the near future. We are getting ahead of this transition by opening applications now.
We're looking for a committed individual with a strong understanding of the format and its community.
Applications must be submitted in writing. Your application must address two points:

- What are its strengths and weaknesses?
- What draws players to this format — and what keeps them here?

- Skills and knowledge relevant to the committee's work
- The directions you'd like to see the format take, and how you intend to contribute to them

The Duel Commander Committee is looking for a volunteer Community Manager to animate and develop its presence on Bluesky, Facebook, and Reddit.
Are you passionate about the Duel Commander format and social media? Do you want to actively contribute to the life of our international community?
- An English-speaking person, another language being a valued plus
- A player involved in the Duel Commander community, with strong knowledge of the format and its stakes
- Someone autonomous in creating content adapted to each social network
- An ability to animate and bring a community to life on a regular basis
- The opportunity to directly contribute to the evolution of an internationally appreciated format
- Visibility within the Magic: The Gathering community
- Close collaboration with the committee and other communication team members
- Flexibility in organizing your time, according to your availability
- Publish regular content on Bluesky, Facebook, and Reddit (announcements, discussions, format news)
- Adapt the tone and format of publications to each platform
- Answer community questions and moderate discussions
- Create engagement (polls, metagame discussions, event coverage)
- Relay official committee announcements (banlist changes, rule modifications, news)
- Write posts in English, and in other languages when possible depending on audiences
- Produce original content to animate the community between official announcements
- Monitor trends in the format and topics of interest
- Collaborate with the communication manager to align editorial strategy
- Participate in communication meetings if necessary
- Report community feedback and concerns to the committee
- Fluent in English (oral and written), another language being an asset
- Excellent knowledge of the Duel Commander format and its specificities
- Active involvement in the Magic: The Gathering community
- Autonomy in content creation and management
- Writing skills and communication sense
- Understanding of social media codes and practices (Bluesky, Facebook, Reddit)
- Regular availability to ensure continuous presence
- Experience in community management or digital communication
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
- Knowledge of publication scheduling tools
- Experience in online community moderation
- Knowledge of competitive play and tournament circuits
- Community service mindset
- Diplomacy and ability to handle sometimes tense exchanges
- Creativity in content production
- Team spirit and good communication
- Passion for Magic: The Gathering and the Duel Commander format
